Yes. You are applying to get an Iran e-visa which is the first step to get your entrance permit to Iran. Having your Iranian e-visa or Iran visa approval, you have to refer to one of Iranian embassies or consulates or Iran international airports to have your visa stamped in your passport. Please NOTE that this Iran e-visa is not enough to enter Iran and you still need a visa label in your passport.
What is Iran visa authorization code?
“Iran Visa Authorization Code” or “Iran Visa Reference Code” or “Iran Visa Approval” or “Iran Visa Grant Notice” or “Iran e-Visa” is your Iran visa confirmation (approval) letter that will be sent to Iran consulate offices or passport and visa offices at international airports of Iran (in which you will collect your Iran visa) by the foreign ministry of Iran. This approval shows that your Iran visa issuance is approved and confirmed by MFA and you are eligible to collect your Iran visa from any of Iranian consulates worldwide or on arrival at Iran international airports.
Is it necessary to have Iran visa authorization code to get Iran visa?
Due to new Iran visa policy, all Iran visa applicants should get an Iran visa approval (Iran visa grant notice) before referring to Iran embassies or consulates to collect their Iranian visas. How long does it take to get my Iran visa authorization code?
It normally takes about 3 working days. Consider that all Thursdays and Fridays are not MFA working days. These given periods are approximate and based on Iran visa processing times provided by MFA in normal circumstances. However, it may takes longer at special religious occasions. Iran visa processing time should be calculated starting the next business day of the date when the documents are submitted to MFA. If you notice us of your payment within the working hours of MFA, your Iran visa request would be submitted the same day, otherwise, it will be submitted the next business day.
